Ambassadors in Schools
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “Students are facing a mental health crisis; collectively experiencing a level of distress that calls on us to act (2022 CDC Youth Risk Behavior Survey).” The CDC study also states that “emotional resilience and connection in school are protective factors for mental health and promote positive behaviors”, and it implores schools to provide “evidence-based education with a focus on building skills for healthy decision-making.”
That is exactly what Ambassadors of Compassion, in partnership with Rotary, is doing: Providing evidence-based programs that remove the emotional obstacles preventing middle and high school students from reaching their full potential in school, in the workplace, and in life.
